Heart Over Magic

           This is the official graduation thesis project for 'Heart over Magic' a 2-minute 2D animation short film submitted for the course DD402 Thesis, College of Creative Design & Entertainment Technology, Dhurakij Pundit University. The animation conceptually aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically promoting SDG Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education).

This story is deeply inspired by the personal experience of losing a loved one, specifically that heart-wrenching moment when one must choose between pursuing life's progress or spending precious final moments with someone they cherish.

While the concept originated from a place of profound loss, it has been intentionally reshaped into a journey filled with joy and warmth. We wanted to transform the bittersweet sadness of a farewell into a beautiful, meaningful tribute to love. We hope it reminds you of the magic found in the people we hold dearest.

Synopsis  While the world measures success in status and progress, Emily’s choice proves that true triumph is found in something far deeper, rooted in the magic of a kind and selfless heart. This is not just a story of saying goodbye, but a triumphant celebration of devotion and the profound impact of those closest to us.
